The beautiful new Hip Kitty in Claremont has "Big Al's Jazz Gig" Quartet as featured artist on Saturday June 23, 8:30pm to after Midnight. There is no Cover for this event.

Big Al's band features himself on Double Bass, Larry Williams on Saxes, Stephan Oberhoff on Piano, with Scott Ickes on Drums.

In June & July 2006, Big Al was playing Bass in the live stage band Piano Trio with Musicial Director Louis Durra in the the world premiere of Play It Cool - a Jazz Musical centered around a fictional Hollywood jazz club, circa 1953. Fabulous cast and music.

"Sultry and seductive, the new musical Play It Cool opens with a jazzy groove as a trio of musicians entertains us with a pre-show set. There’s Big Al on upright bass, Adam Alesi on drums and Louis Durra playing some hot and jazzy piano. With these guys in the corner, we know right away that we’re in for a treat."
